I didn't care for the feel of the Xds and I didn't like the trigger. The 30s felt much better to me and was naturally easier to control with follow ups. Once I had some time with the 30s I traded the xds. The way they both carry is close enough that twice the capacity in the 30s is the way to go imo.The width difference is not much a G30 is 1.28 inches and a G36 is 1.10 inches.
